All food served at Hidden Valley Community Preschool are carefully selected to be free from hydrogenated oils, excessive sugars and preservatives. Meals include fresh local produce and organic foods as much as possible. All meals are carefully planned to meet all of the dietary needs of a growing child.

All meals are intended to be a pleasant social affair. Children are never forced to eat anything however; Children are encouraged try new and different foods. Children will participate and prepare meals and snacks as much as possible. sample-menu
It's Lunchtime!
During the morning and afternoon activities children will prepare and eat his or her own snack. This can be as simple as spreading cream cheese on a bagel or complex such as making muffins and waffles. By participating in snack preparation children develop fine motor skills, pre-reading and writing skills and valuable life skills
